Multiple explosions rocked the Yobe State
capital, Damaturu, Phase I, near Eid Praying ground, Friday morning.
According to one of the Nigerian national
dailies, the explosions are coming on a day when the new Chief of Army Staff,
Major General Tukur Buratai declared that he would be visiting the State to
celebrate with troops and engage in discussions meant to disarm the insurgents.
It was also gathered that praying grounds in
the town are now deserted.
Meanwhile, security operatives and men of the
anti-bomb squad have condoned off praying grounds to prevent further attacks.
