Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin taken into custody after 'murdering' George Floyd


Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been taken into custody over the death of black man George Floyd, four days after he was seen kneeling on his neck in a video of his arrest that has sparked violent protests across the country.  
The 44-year-old white cop was arrested by state investigators on Friday afternoon, Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington announced. He has been charged with third-degree murder, manslaughter.   
Chauvin was one of four officers fired over Floyd's death earlier this week however, Harrington did not provide details on the other three cops.   
The arrest comes after days of riots and unrest across Minneapolis - and several states - demanding justice for 46-year-old Floyd.

Nigeria receives Madagascar’s Covid Organics

Nigeria on Saturday finally receive Madagascar native formular herbal drink against COVID-19 pandemic.
President Muhammadu Buhari formally welcomed the drink from President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, in a visit to Aso Rock, State House, Abuja today.
The drink is expected to pass through clinical examination before allowing anyone in the country to take it as explained by President Buhari.
Nigeria has since been expecting this Madagascar Covid-Organic herbal medicine, which will be exposed to standard pharmaceutical tests.

President Buhari appoints new Chief Of Staff

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Agboola Ibrahim Gambari as his new Chief Of Staff, few weeks after his predecessor, Abba Kyari died of coronavirus, the presidency announced Wednesday.
Ibrahim Gambari is the new Chief Of Staff to President, succeeding Abba Kyari, who passed away on April 17, 2020.
Gambari is a Nigerian scholar and diplomat, and has had an illustrious career, spanning academia, government and international diplomacy.
He remained the under-secretary general and special adviser to the secretary-general on Africa from 1999-2005.

Sinach Tops Billboard USA Christian Songwriters Chart

Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter, Osinachi Joseph (Sinach) has become the first African to top the Billboard USA Christian songwriters chart.
The songwriter, according to the data released in May, has dominated the chart for the past seven weeks. globally, various versions of the song have been streamed over 250 million times life-to-date on YouTube. On Spotify, top versions of the song now account for over 54 million streams life-to-date.
“In short Sinach has accumulated the most points out of any other Christian market songwriter for the past seven weeks.  My analysis is that the large number of recorded versions of the song Waymaker are adding up to this accomplishment and acknowledgment.  The other songwriters on this list have dozens of different songs recorded by other artists that are comprising their “points total,” said Les Moir,  A&R Ambassador at Integrity Music Europe.
At 148 million views, the original video of ‘Way Maker’ is currently the third most-streamed song in the world on YouTube. She was rated by Pulse.ng as the Female Artist of the Decade, Female Gospel Artist of the Decade and also listed in the top 10 Artist of the Decade.
Since the song was released on 30 December 2015, ‘Way Maker’ has been covered by a number of globally acclaimed Christian music artists such as Michael W. Smith, Leeland; Christafari; Passion Worship Bank; Maranda Curtis; and Bethel Music to mention a few.
